Paul Finnerty's Riff Raff Band is a highly versatile group of musicians playing a contemporary / traditional style of jazz, the band always features a singer who is usually Pat Powell. The bands repertoire is about nine hours long. This band is a jazz band and plays all the standards from the twenty's through to playing their own originals. The band is normally a seven piece but plays regularly as a quartet, also if you need a Dixie style of band Paul can also arrange a band from a quartet to a full seven piece.

Paul formed Riff Raff after playing with the late great Tom Baker for over twenty years. Other than playing the traditional style Paul decided to incorporate a professional singer and play all the standards, featuring the guitar and having a more modern feel. Paul has toured with Tom in Europe, Canada & the U.S. on numerous occasions . The last time Paul toured was with the Geoff Bull Band to Norway, Sweden & Japan.
