 Every so often an artist comes your way who stands out from the crowd. Lyndon Wesley is that artist. A distinctive individual who continues to win enormous respect as a writer, performer and producer. After returning from an Australian tour in 1996 Lyndon ventured out as a solo performer. He has since won numerous songwriting awards, produced three albums and has played support to the likes of Ross Wilson and Mark Seymour.

While The World Lay Sleeping is a mostly lush and spacious recording that succeeds in creating its very own little space inside your being. It’s hard to imagine tiring of this mini-album as each successive listen reveals something new within each arrangement. Comparisons to Neil Finn and to a lesser degree John Mayer, give you an idea of style and sound. Mature, memorable songs that appear to be as instinctive as they are orchestrated.
