Joe Chindamo’s latest release is a theme lovers spectacular! While Chindamo’s stunning arrangements contain the essence of these themes the end result is a very different experience. Where else could Dylan, Mancini, The Eagles, and Katchachurian share the stage so eloquently? The Coen Brothers get the music part of their film making right; their music makes the films and the films make the music.
Chindamo, a longtime fan of Coen Brothers films, was inspired to write arrangements in and around the films’ fine music. Selecting the best players for the project was the next challenge; matching the players with the capability of covering the diversity demanded of the Coen Brrothers material with those who could play everything, including bluegrass. Chindamo’s bluegrass moment has arrived with the piano replacing the banjo.
Featuring the wondrous talents of Doug de Vries (guitars), Philip Rex (bass), Nigel MacLean (violin), Lucky Oceans (pedal steel and dobro), Rajiv Jayaweera (drums), Alex Pertout (percussion) and Joe Chindamo (piano and accordion).
Incredible musicianship and stunning arrangements offer compelling listening; Another Time Some Other Place will captivate music and movie lovers alike.
Joe Chindamo is the winner of numerous awards, including the 2009 APRA Music Award for Jazz Composition of the Year for Something Will Come To Light the Jazzhead release, Duende - The Romantic Project, and a Final Five nominee at the 2008 ARIA Awards.
