It was 1996 that Stuart French and Michel Rose discovered they were destined to play music together, when Stuart's hot guitar playing and Michel's harmony licks on pedal steel created the magic that is the FSK sound.
Camille Te Nahu is no stranger to touring, having travelled Australia and the USA for two years as Kasey Chambers' back-up vocalist. With her Polynesian ancestry, Camille sounds as beautiful as she looks, in her new home out front of FSK. Something else quite unique about FSK is the musicians they attract - not only to their gigs, but the quality players who join them on stage. Sought after Sydney country and jazz drummer Joel Davis and widely travelled bass guru Ian Lees have toured and performed with some of the best - and have found a musical home with FSK.
It's not often a band can emulate the excellence of their recorded product in a live setting, but that's never been a problem for FSK. Mind you, there's nothing quite like being there in the room when the magic is happening. There are no disappointments between track one and track 12 with some of the best music you're ever likely to hear - that is, unless you see FSK in their element, playing to a room full of people, feeling the energy that comes from this exciting lineup.
