Darrel Humphris is a man with a mission. Not waiting for any record deals with major labels, the Queensland guitar teacher has written and produced 13 tracks on this solo instrumental guitar album. Plus Darrel plays all the instruments on the record: guitar, bass, keyboards, and brushes. Is there anything this man cannot do? The sound quality on The Music Within is pretty damn good. The guitar tones are clear with plenty of warm presence and reverb. Darrel shows he is the guitar guru with many different styles in his quiver - from chirpy picked acoustic to full metal licks and distant space sounds, this album has it all. If you have got music that you want others to hear but are having no luck with record labels, follow Darrel's example, because you really don't need them - you can do it all yourself.
